Script
Script in the PC release of Mario's Time Machine
First appearance Mario's Time Machine (1993)

The Script is an item in the PC release of Mario's Time Machine. It is the final draft of Mario's Time Machine that Mario obtains within the game itself. After traveling in time to Novato in 1993 (1994 in the Deluxe re-release), Mario strikes up a conversation with one of the game's writers and programmers, Andrew Iverson, who just gives him the game's script. He also comments that without the company's work and effort, Mario would literally be speechless, and he also says that the Script took "only" fifty rewrites. Nearby, the lead artist, Jeff Griffeath, angrily complains to Mario that he needs the latest script so that he can complete his images, while bemoaning the fact that the writers are constantly changing the script. Mario promptly gives him the Script, and Griffeath thanks Mario while saying that the script is not that bad.
