The Super Mario Bros. Super Show![edit]
Pineapples in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episode, "Too Hot to Handle" grow in a patch on Waki-Waki, and are thrown by Mario, Luigi, and Toad as projectiles against King Koopa's Shy Guys in the same manner they used vegetables in Super Mario Bros. 2.

Super Mario Sunshine[edit]
Pineapples in Super Mario Sunshine are one of the fruits that Yoshis can eat. By doing so, the Yoshi will become orange and its Juice meter will be filled, allowing it to turn enemies into orange stationary platforms.
