The event starts by telling the player the ideal angle of the line they need to draw on the touch screen to throw at. The angle is decided based on the wind speed and direction, with higher wind speeds requiring larger offsets from the 45Β° angle, and different directions affecting whether the offset is above or below. The player's character will then automatically run up to the throwing line and yellow, orange, and red sections are marked on the ground to show how close to the line they are. Throwing the javelin close to the line will give the player a further distance, with an extra boost given for throwing it right before. Failing to throw the javelin of throwing after the character has crossed the line will result in a foul and no distance will be recorded. To throw the javelin, the player must raw a line diagonally up to the right on their touch screen at what they think is the angle indicated. One the javelin has landed, the distance is measured by [[Charmy]] and the player is then told their score. The player only gets one attempt at this event. Purple, yellow, and blue [[Toad (species)|Toads]] appear alongside [[Toad]] as judges in this event.
