Weaken is a Super Effect in the Mario + Rabbids series. When a character is weakened, their damage is reduced.
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle
In Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, one of Rabbid Luigi's techniques, Weaken, has the power to weaken nearby enemies. However, only their weapons are weakened, while movement remains unchanged.
There is only one enemy that can cause the effect, which are Tropical Smashers, which reduce the heroes' weapon damage by 50% if they are within range. The "Cleansing Jump" upgrade will not remove the effect; only by freezing the Tropical Smasher that caused it or by defeating them will remove the text. The Weaken effect lasts for 1 turn.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
In Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, Weaken has been renamed Exhaust, which serves the same purpose as it did in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, although all attacking methods have reduced damage, rather than only weapons being affected. Rabbid Luigi once again can cause the effect, although there is an upgrade named "Vulnerable", which makes affected enemies take 30% more damage from attacks.
There are only two enemies who can cause the effect: Midnite and Cursa. Midnite weakens heroes within range, while Cursa weakens by attacking them with "Spiral Ray" in the second and third phases of the battle.
