A Mad Pokey is a an angry sub-species of Pokey encountered as enemies in the game Super Princess Peach.

Mad Pokey are crimson red in color in contrast to a Pokey's bright yellow, Mad Pokey also have a more sinister appearance than regular Pokey, having large, spikey flowers on their heads. Mad Pokey can stretch their bodies upwards in order to limit Princess Peach and Perry's progress. A Mad Pokey can be defeated either with the power of a Vibe or by using the Poundbrella attack.


In Super Mario Galaxy, one serves as a mini-boss in the Dusty Dune Galaxy.
