The Tian An Men Square in the DOS release of Mario is Missing!
Tian An Men Square in the DOS version

Template:Quote2 Tian An Men Square (Simplified Chinese: 天安门广场; Traditional Chinese: 天安門廣場; Pinyin: Tiān'ānmén Guǎngchǎng; more commonly spelled Tiananmen Square) is a public area in Beijing that holds numerous notable structures, namely the Monument to the People's Heroes. Alongside the Forbidden City, the Great Wall of China, and the Temple of Heaven, it is one of the landmarks that gets attacked by Koopa Troopas in Mario is Missing! (although it only appears in the DOS and Deluxe versions). The Koopa Troopas run off with the entire Monument to the People's Heroes, and Luigi is asked to return it back to the square. He does just that, bringing it to the square's information booth. Before he can return it, he must answer some questions to prove that the item is genuine, which are as follows:

  • The words of which leader are inscribed at the monument's base?
    • Ghengis Kahn
    • Mao Zedong
    • Mousie Mick
    • Chang Tian
  • The monument is in the shape of:
    • a column
    • a pyramid
    • an obelisk
    • a square
  • What's the Monument made of?
    • Granite
    • Lava Rock
    • Marble
    • Metal
