'''Cash''' is the in-game currency of the [[inkipedia:Splatoon (series)|''Splatoon'']] series, with its appearance being similar to that of [[coin]]s from the ''[[Super Mario (franchise)|Super Mario]]'' franchise, though with an arrow in the shape of a stylized "G" in the center of the coin instead of a vertical line. Cash appears in ''[[Mario Kart 8 Deluxe]]'' in the [[Urchin Underpass]] battle course when playing in the [[Battle Mode#Coin Runners|Coin Runners]] or [[Battle Mode#Renegade Roundup|Renegade Roundup]] modes, replacing coins from other courses, similarly to [[Rupee]]s in [[Hyrule Circuit]], [[Bell (Animal Crossing)|Bells]] in [[Animal Crossing]], and the unique coins in [[Yoshi's Island (race course)|Yoshi's Island]]. They appear scattered throughout the course and function identically to coins (boosting speed in Renegade Roundup and serving as the primary objective of Coin Runners), though they make a unique sound effect when collected. Due to coins not being accessible from [[Item Box]]es in [[Battle Mode]], it is impossible to obtain cash via an Item Box.
